International bulk diesel procurement
Structured EN590 10ppm Diesel Supply
Pro Source Consulting supports qualified buyers seeking bulk EN590 diesel through a disciplined procurement process built around specification clarity, credible commercial terms and coordinated delivery.
Commercial clarity first
EN590 Diesel Procurement for Qualified Buyers
Large-volume fuel transactions depend on far more than a product name and an indicative price. Grade, seasonal properties, nominated port, delivery basis, monthly quantity, inspection, documentation and payment structure must all align before a workable supply route can be assessed.
Pro Source Consulting helps commercial buyers define these requirements and progress credible enquiries through supplier engagement, due diligence and transaction coordination. Our role is to create a clear, practical route from an initial requirement to an executable commercial framework.
Start with a complete requirement
For the fastest review, provide the required volume, destination or loading port, preferred Incoterm, delivery window, product specification and whether the enquiry is for a spot cargo or recurring contract.
Product overview
What Is EN590 10ppm Diesel?
EN590 is the European specification for automotive diesel fuel. The widely requested 10ppm grade limits sulphur to a maximum of 10 mg/kg and is commonly used in modern compression-ignition road vehicles, commercial fleets, logistics operations and other compatible diesel applications.
EN590 is a fuel standard
It defines fuel quality characteristics such as sulphur, cetane, density and distillation performance. It should not be confused with Euro 5 or Euro 6, which are vehicle emissions standards.
B0 and B7 must be distinguished
Current EN590 fuel may contain up to 7% FAME by volume. If your operation requires FAME-free B0 diesel, that requirement must be stated explicitly and confirmed in the agreed specification.
Climate grade matters
Cold-flow performance varies by climatic class and season. The destination, expected temperatures and delivery period are therefore material to correct product selection.
Indicative quality framework
Typical EN590 10ppm Parameters
The table below is a commercial reference point only. Every transaction must be governed by the complete specification stated in the contract and supported by the agreed inspection and quality documents.
| Parameter | Typical EN590 requirement | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Sulphur content | Maximum 10 mg/kg | Defines the ultra-low-sulphur grade commonly requested as EN590 10ppm. |
| Cetane number | Minimum 51 | Relates to ignition quality and combustion performance. |
| Density at 15°C | Typically 820–845 kg/m³ | Supports product identification, energy calculations and volume conversion. |
| Distillation | 95% recovered at a maximum of 360°C | Indicates the fuel’s volatility and boiling range. |
| FAME content | Up to 7% v/v unless B0 is specified | Must align with storage, equipment, regulation and buyer requirements. |
| Cold filter plugging point | According to climatic class or grade | Critical for reliable operation in the destination’s expected temperatures. |
Values are indicative and do not replace the full EN590 standard, contractual product schedule, certificate of analysis or independent inspection results.
Supply structures
Flexible Arrangements for Bulk EN590 Supply
Each opportunity is assessed against product availability, buyer readiness, logistics and destination requirements. Possible structures may include:
Spot cargoes
Single-lift enquiries for buyers with a defined quantity, delivery window, port and workable transaction procedure.
Term contracts
Recurring monthly volumes structured around an agreed supply period, lifting schedule and commercial framework.
FOB or CIF delivery
FOB loading-port and CIF destination-port enquiries can be reviewed, subject to the route, port capability and available supply programme.
Who we support
Commercial Buyers and End Users

Fit for purpose
Confirm the Right Product
EN590 is principally an automotive diesel specification. It is not automatically interchangeable with every product marketed as “D2”, gasoil or marine fuel, and it should not be substituted for a vessel’s required bunker specification without technical approval.
Where equipment, storage conditions or local regulations impose additional requirements—such as FAME-free B0, a particular cold-flow class or destination-specific testing—these should be identified at the start of the enquiry.
A disciplined route to supply
Our EN590 Procurement Process
Requirement review
We confirm the product, quantity, destination, delivery basis, timing and intended contract period.
Buyer qualification
We establish mandate, end-use or resale context and the buyer’s ability to follow a credible commercial process.
Supply-route assessment
Relevant supply options are considered against origin, loading point, logistics, volume and delivery requirements.
Commercial alignment
Specification, Incoterm, price basis, inspection, documentation and transaction procedure are clarified.
Compliance and due diligence
Counterparty, sanctions, KYC and transaction-specific checks are progressed before contractual commitment.
Contract and delivery coordination
Once terms are accepted, the parties progress contracting, agreed security, nomination, inspection and logistics.
Prepare your enquiry
Information Required for an EN590 Quote
A complete request helps us determine quickly whether a suitable supply route can be considered.
- Legal buyer name and country
- Required monthly or spot quantity
- Destination port or preferred loading port
- CIF, CFR, FOB or other required Incoterm
- Target delivery or lifting window
- EN590 grade, FAME and climate requirements
- Desired spot or contract duration
- Preferred inspection and payment framework
A target price can be included as context, but it does not replace a complete commercial requirement or establish market availability.
Compliance-led engagement
Fuel transactions involve significant regulatory, counterparty and performance risk. We support a documented process in which identities, authority, sanctions exposure and the commercial chain can be reviewed. Product and payment claims should be verified through the transaction’s authorised parties and agreed independent controls.
How EN590 pricing is determined
There is no responsible universal fixed price for every EN590 enquiry. Pricing can be affected by benchmark movements, origin, volume, loading window, destination, freight, insurance, inspection, climate grade, FAME requirement, taxes and the agreed contractual structure. A meaningful indication follows review of the complete request.
Buyer questions
EN590 Diesel Supply FAQs
Is EN590 the same as ultra-low-sulphur diesel?
EN590 10ppm is an ultra-low-sulphur automotive diesel specification, but the term ULSD is used across different jurisdictions and does not by itself confirm every EN590 parameter. Buyers should specify the full required standard and applicable grade.
Is EN590 the same as Euro 5 or Euro 6?
No. EN590 is a diesel fuel quality standard. Euro 5 and Euro 6 refer to vehicle emissions requirements. The terms are often used together commercially, but they describe different things.
Can EN590 be supplied as B0 or B7?
Both may be commercially requested, subject to availability and the applicable specification. Standard EN590 may contain up to 7% FAME; an expressly FAME-free B0 requirement should be stated from the outset.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Minimum quantities depend on supply source, route, terminal constraints and transport mode. State your exact volume and delivery location so the enquiry can be assessed against realistic logistics.
Do you support CIF and FOB enquiries?
Yes, CIF destination-port and FOB loading-port structures can be reviewed. Feasibility depends on the named ports, volume, scheduling, vessel or terminal requirements and available supply route.
Which quality and inspection documents are used?
The required document set varies by transaction and may include contractual specifications, certificates of quality and quantity, transport documents and reports from an agreed independent inspector. The contract should define which documents govern acceptance.
How quickly can an EN590 transaction be completed?
Timing depends on buyer readiness, due diligence, product availability, contracting, agreed financial security, logistics and inspection. Providing a complete requirement at the beginning reduces avoidable delay.
